Paper Art
Paper Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. Although its exact origins are a mystery the art of quilling is thought to have originated in Ancient Egypt by the nuns. More recently quilling has been practiced as an art form in Renaissance France/Italy as well as in 18th century England. Today, quilling is seeing a resurgence in popularity and can be found in art galleries in Europe and in the United States and is an art that is practiced around the world.
